Chokers Return! Inspired by the 2012 Oscars
28 Feb 2012
Do you think chokers were only for the early ‘90s? According to the stars at the red carpet, chokers
are back for the season! They were stereotyped as youthful and teen
fashion accessories. This year, however, chokers dominated the Oscar red carpet looks with a totally new look and feel. Take a peek at the celebrities’ choker styles at the 2012 Oscars:

You will be amazed at how this year’s chokers
completely change your perception of them. This year’s chokers are
nothing like the black velvet or the grunge-girl look. Instead big
chunks of diamonds and precious gemstones are used, which inspires a feeling of elegance.

A wide range of designs and materials are used for modern chokers.
Other than diamonds, materials like gold, pearls, or even shells are
used for the fabulous designs. They can be in different shapes and
patterns as well. A choker with dangling sparkles on is a great
highlight with evening dresses for many occasions like weddings,
banquets and parties.
As every year the Academy Awards set trends for the jewellery market - so be ready for your customers asking for chokers.
